In 1963, the news of JFK's death resonated deeply within this close-knit community. Families huddled around their televisions, businesses paused operations, and local churches opened their doors, offering solace to those in mourning.

Recent developments underscore this communal strength. The city has embarked on a comprehensive Strategic Action Plan, aiming to guide programs and investments through 2035. This initiative emphasizes inclusivity and forward-thinking, with extensive community engagement shaping its direction.
